FORT WAINWRIGHT, Alaska — Army officials are reporting a Fort Wainwright soldier was killed Friday in a motor vehicle collision while traveling through Canada.
They say 22-year-old Pvt. Johnny Guy of Hampton, Tenn., was traveling near Bariere, British Columbia, when his vehicle collided with a tractor-trailer.
Officials say Guy was a food service specialist assigned to the 25th Brigade Support Battalion.
He joined the Army in March and was assigned to Fort Wainwright in August.
