Soldiers who held recommended list status as of Jan. 20 through Feb. 8, and who meet or exceed the cutoff scores for March are eligible to be promoted March 1 as follows:
Sgt. to staff sgt.
72 months TIS and 10 months TIG
71 months TIS (less than 72 months) and nine months TIG (less than 10 months)
Spc./cpl. to sgt.
36 months TIS and eight months TIG
35 months TIS (less than 36 months) and seven months (less than eight months) TIG
The airborne advantage can be applied in March to the specialties listed below. Soldiers drawing jump pay, and who are assigned to positions coded with skill qualification identifier P, S or V can deduct 65 points for scores to sergeant, and 25 points for scores to staff sergeant.
