Master sgt. selections coming out next week

Selection lists containing the names of Regular Army and Active Guard and Reserve (Army Reserve) soldiers recommended for promotion to master sergeant will be released Dec. 13.

The fiscal 2013 lists were compiled by boards that met in October and November.

The basic zone of consideration for the Regular Army panel included sergeants first class with dates of rank of Oct. 17, 2009, and earlier, and basic active-duty service dates of Oct. 16, 1987 through Oct. `16, 2004.

The basic zone for the Active Guard and Reserve board included sergeants first class with dates of rank of Oct. 16, 2009, and earlier; promotion eligibility basic dates of Oct. 16, 2004, and earlier, and birth dates of Oct. 16, 1954, and later.

Regular Army promotions to master sergeant on Dec. 1 reduced the fiscal 2012 selection list to 717 names.
