Results of the annual master sergeant promotion selection boards that met in the fall will not be released until early next year, according to personnel officials at the Pentagon.
The fiscal 2013 Regular Army and Active Guard and Reserve (Army Reserve) lists previously were scheduled for release this morning.
"The Army, as a matter of routine, administratively reviews promotion board results for accuracy." The active component and Army Reserve board results are no different, according to a statement released by the Office of Army G1 (human resources).
"The lists are undergoing routine administrative review and are planned to be released in early January," the G-1 statement continued.
The selection lists were compiled by boards that met in October and November.
The basic zone of consideration for the Regular Army panel included sergeants first class with dates of rank of Oct. 17, 2009, and earlier, and basic active-duty service dates of Oct. 16, 1987, through Oct. `16, 2004.
The basic zone for the Active Guard and Reserve board included sergeants first class with dates of rank of Oct. 16, 2009, and earlier; promotion eligibility basic dates of Oct. 16, 2004, and earlier, and birth dates of Oct. 16, 1954, and later.
Regular Army promotions to master sergeant on Dec. 1 reduced the fiscal 2012 selection list to 717 names.
