Romesha set to speak at university event

GRAND FORKS, N.D. Recent Medal of Honor recipient Clinton Romesha is scheduled to appear at an event for the University of North Dakota's ROTC program.

The former Army staff sergeant is the featured speaker at the group's annual Military Ball Saturday evening at the Memorial Union Ballroom.

Last month Romesha was awarded the nation's highest military decoration for valor from President Obama for his actions during a 13-hour firefight in Afghanistan.

Romesha left the Army in April 2011 after nearly 12 years of service. He lives in in Minot with his wife and three children.
