The Defense Department on Sunday identified a soldier killed in Afghanistan by an improvised explosive device.
Sgt. Tristan M. Wade, 23, of Indianapolis, Ind., died March 22 in Qarah Bagh District, Ghazni Province, Afghanistan, when enemy forces attacked his unit with an IED, the DoD said in a news release.
Wade was assigned to the 573rd Clearance Company, 2nd Engineer Battalion, White Sands Missile Range, N.M., the release said.
