FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A Fort Bragg soldier has been charged with second-degree murder and hit-and-run in the death of a motorcyclist in Fayetteville.

Fayetteville police spokesman Lt. Todd Joyce said that police on Tuesday charged 35-year-old Edward William Hall of the 50th Signal Battalion. It was not immediately clear if Hall had an attorney.

Authorities said 54-year-old David Keller of Fayetteville died after he was struck early Saturday morning. Keller was riding a Yamaha motorcycle.

Police say the driver of the Cadillac Escalade that hit Keller left the scene.
