In May, 23 officers will be promoted to colonel and lieutenant colonel among Army Reserve officers of the Active Guard and Reserve.
The 11 advancements to colonel will go to officers selected by the 2012 Army Promotion List board.
The promotion authorization will go through sequence number 43, leaving 36 names on the 2012 list.
The May promotion plan also authorizes 12 advancements to lieutenant colonel for officers on the fiscal 2012 APL list.
The promotions will go through sequence 91, and will leave 21 names on the list.
The Army also has scheduled four promotions to captain for Medical Service Corps first lieutenants on the 2013 list.
The MSC promotions will go through sequence number 4, leaving no names on the list.
The Army has not yet announced a release date for the 2013 APL captain list compiled by a board that met in October and November.
Reserve selection lists are released after review and approval by the secretary of the Army, a process that normally takes 90 to 120 days.
In recent years, other captain and major lists were delayed because of administrative problems relating to the eligibility of some promotion candidates.
Also pending release are the results of the fiscal 2013 Army Promotion List major board that met in March.
