Carson soldier killed in Afghanistan attack

A soldier based at Fort Carson, Colo., died May 30 when his vehicle was struck by a roadside bomb in Wardak province, Afghanistan.

Killed was Staff Sgt. Joe A. Nunezrodriguez, 29, of Pasadena, Texas, according to a Pentagon press release. He was assigned to the 68th Combat Support Sustainment Battalion, 43rd Sustainment Brigade, 4th Infantry Division.

No further information was immediately available.
