Pentagon: Campbell soldier killed in Afghanistan

The Defense Department on Tuesday announced the death in Afghanistan of a soldier assigned to Fort Campbell, Ky.

Warrant Officer Sean W. Mullen, 39, of Dover, Del., died Sunday in Lashkar Gah, Afghanistan, when insurgents attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device, according to a DoD news release. Mullen was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne), Fort Campbell.
