MONROE, LA. — Monroe police say a 25-year-old Marine drowned over the weekend.

Police told The News-Star that the body of Sgt. Ricky Franklin Sugg was recovered from the pool at a home Saturday afternoon.

Authorities said Sugg’s body will be sent to Little Rock for an autopsy to determine if there were any other factors that could have led to this death. Detectives said no suspicious circumstances had been noted or were believed to have occurred.
