Kings Dominion amusement park in Doswell, Va., is offering free admission to active-duty, National Guard, reserve and retired service members on July 4 and 5. Discounts are available for family members.

Admission at the gate is normally $61.99.

Reduced-price tickets are also available for up to six dependents who are with the service member. Discounted tickets can be purchased at morale, welfare and recreation offices on military installations, and also at the park gate. At the gate, those tickets are $38.99.

The park’s July 4 fireworks display will start at 9:30 p.m. and is best viewed near the 305-foot Drop Tower attraction in the Grove section.
