FORT CAMPBELL, KY. — Army vice chief of staff Gen. John F. Campbell is visiting Fort Campbell to discuss a new campaign to improve soldier training and readiness.

Campbell is planning to meet with soldiers, families and civilian workers during his Wednesday visit to the Army post on the Kentucky-Tennessee border.

He’ll discuss the Army’s Ready and Resilient Campaign, which the military says will focus on training and assessments of soldier fitness and unit readiness.

Lt. Gen. Mike Frettier will accompany Campbell on the visit. Frettier is the commanding general for installation management, meaning he oversees Army garrisons around the world.

Campbell is the former commander of Fort Campbell’s 101st Airborne Division.
