2 flag officer assignments announced

Navy Secretary Ray Mabus and Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Jon Greenert announced the following flag officer assignments Wednesday:

Two-star assignment

Rear Adm. Michael S. White will be assigned as commander, Naval Education and Training Command, Pensacola, Fla. White is serving as commander, Carrier Strike Group 11, San Diego.

One-star assignment

Rear Adm. Brian S. Pecha will be assigned as medical officer to the Marine Corps, Washington, D.C. Pecha is serving as force surgeon, Marine Forces Reserve, New Orleans.
