Troops who plan to leave the military within the next three to six months, or have recently left, may be eligible to apply for a leadership program aimed at helping them make the transition to the corporate world.

The deadline for applying to Deloitte’s CORE Leadership Program is Feb. 28.

The 50 people who are chosen will receive free travel and accommodations to attend the leadership program at Deloitte University in Westlake, Texas, April 10-12. Applications and more details are available on the Deloitte CORE Leadership Program website.

To qualify, troops:

■ must have separated from the armed forces in the past nine months or are active duty members who will be separating in the next three to six months;

■ must have earned a bachelor’s degree;

■ must have four to eight years of military service; and

■ must be interested in making the transition to the corporate world.

Participants will learn from corporate leaders and other veterans how to translate their military experiences, skills and leadership qualities into a business context; they will get help identifying their unique edge and making career choices based on their personal passions, according to a press release from Deloitte.
