The Army has revamped the sequencing of senior NCO promotion boards, although the exact convening dates for those panels have not yet been announced.
The new schedule will apply to the senior NCO promotion boards convened in fiscal 2015 for the Regular Army and the Army Reserve component of the Active Guard and Reserve. A look at the board changes:
|Rank||New month||Old month|
|Sergeant 1st Class||June||February|
|Sergeant Major (Training and selection)||September||June|
Note: The 2014 sergeant major boards slated to convene June 3 will proceed as scheduled.
