A list will be released June 20 with the names and promotion sequence numbers of Regular Army senior NCOs who were frocked to E-9 following their recent graduation, or projected graduation, from the resident and nonresident Sergeant Major Course.

The soldiers, most of whom were members of Class 64 of the 10-month resident course or Class 40 of the nonresident course that graduated June 6, will be promoted to sergeant major over the next year as vacancies open in their specialty or career management field.

Also included on the list will be NCOs who are making satisfactory progress in the nonresident Joint Special Operations Forces Senior Enlisted Academy Course.

Most of these soldiers were selected for schooling by the Sergeant Major Training and Selection Board that met in fiscal 2012.

Results of the fiscal 2014 reserve components Army Promotion List major selection board that met in March will be released June 17.

The zone of consideration for the annual board included basic-branch captains of the National Guard, the Army Reserve component of the Active Guard and Reserve and the non-AGR categories of the Army Reserve.

The list does not require Senate Confirmation, and promotions can be made as soon as scheduled by the Army.
