INDIANAPOLIS — The organization that runs youth and amateur football in the United States is teaming up with the American military to make the game safer overseas.

USA Football announced Monday that it will hold a training session in Germany this week.

Some American high school and youth league coaches stationed in Belgium, England, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy and Spain will travel to Ansbach, Germany, for this week's training session. Former NFL player Michael Haynes will be among those teaching the program.

Organizers are hoping the newly trained coaches will spread the word on American bases throughout Europe.
