For jobs that require you to show samples of past work — artists and journalists in particular — it’s a smart idea to create an online portfolio so that when an employer finds your résumé in an online database, your work samples are only a click away.
The Web site Writing-World.com recommends creating an online portfolio so you don’t bog down prospective employers’ inboxes with huge attachments.
