The integration of Sunni Iraqis who joined the fight against al-Qaida into Iraq's security forces and other mainstream activities is proceeding more slowly than some U.S. officials and other observers would like to see — raising concerns that the former "Awakening" forces could revert to violence and undermine security gains made over the past 10 months in Iraq.
