Where is building 1522?
Army posts are impossible to navigate. Few of the streets are labeled, it’s almost always impossible to find a detailed, accurate, up-to-date post map.
Finally, people seem to think that giving out a random four-number digit (i.e. “oh, we’re located in building 1678) somehow works as an address. There’s a reason why the rest of the world works with the street number system.

Folks who don’t know where they are going immediately raise suspicion among post security, as it should.
After the Fort Hood incident, the last thing we need to do is make it easier for folks to find their way around the instillations.
Most Army posts have a headquarters and an MP station, both great places to go if you need information on where you are going.

Lt. leadership training
The gold bar looks the same on a cadet’s shoulders from ROTC as one from West Point or OCS. Any future officer will get challenged in one way or another at their first duty station.
There are a same number of dirtbag officers from ROTC as from any other commissioning source.

Pregnancy punishment
I remember reading in a history book about ancient times when the military commanders gave orders, made policies and actually ran the military as they saw fit. Must have been a grand time.

Women in combat arms
I don’t think it’s about gender, I think it’s about having the best fighters in the fight and, generally, that means men because the physical demands are so great.
I never want to see standards lowered for the sake of allowing anyone a chance to be in combat arms.
I don’t want to see soldiers come home in body bags because their fellow soldiers weren’t able to perform their jobs.
As my drill sergeant said, “If you can’t hang, then you shouldn’t have came.”
