WHAT ‘DON’T ASK’ MEANS
“Don’t ask, don’t tell” means we already have gays serving alongside single males. I recently went through an open bay barracks-style training environment when I went through combat skills training, and you knew easily who was gay and who was straight. But amazingly, we all got along just fine. If you fear serving alongside a gay person, I suggest you get out of the military. We are a tolerant and equal opportunity organization, and don’t have time or resources to cater to bigots, racists or sexists.

OBAMA WINS NOBEL
This decision [to award the Nobel Peace Prize to President Barack Obama] was the right one. A big part of why he was awarded it was because he changed the tone of international relations between the U.S. and the rest of the world. Yes, this is a slap in the face to the Bush administration but I would say it is a deserved one. I thought Bush’s “shoot first and ask questions later” style was a joke.

It is like giving someone the Medal of Honor while they are still in basic training ... he looks pretty brave, I’m sure he will do great things.

TOP NCO SAYS FOCUS ON TEACHING SGTS.
Riiigggghhhhtttt ... this coming from the same Army that has lowered promotion standards, shortened NCO schools, made most of the course material online instead of in-classroom instruction by an NCO. Let’s not even talk about sergeant’s training taken out of the hands of NCOs and now conducted postwide at battalion or brigade level.

FIXING AFGHANISTAN
Afghans do not have a national pride, so they don't see us fighting for them as being much help. All they see is civilians are being killed, every death is caused by the U.S., right or wrong. Karzai is one of our biggest threats as he goes public and condemns the U.S. for these deaths, vice going public and criticizing the TB who put the civilians in harm's way. To fix Afghanistan, we have to change the mind set of the people, then and only then will the leadership change.
