Fix the M4 carbine now

The weapon is not perfect, but it’s not getting anyone killed due to it being poorly designed. It’s more than sufficient for the task.

The M4 does have some issues. But to me, instead of trying to fix the M4 issue, why not ensure that all active-duty units have M4s first? If not everyone, at least the NCOs/officers.

Individual Ready Reserve

The Army should fix the IRR before they try to use it instead of recruiting able bodies. Not everyone in the IRR is trying to sham out of service, a lot (not all) of them have legitimate reasons for being out of the service. The Army should fix itself before insulting more veterans with these muster orders.

Keeping track of IRRs would be legitimate no matter how screwed-up the rest of the system is. ... In my opinion, people who ignore certified mail muster orders ought to have their discharge orders changed to other-than-honorable or dishonorable, to reflect their apparent real service. Your service ends the day your IRR status ends, not the day you get discharge papers. If you can’t handle that, don’t join.
