‘Military Wives’ seeks aspiring reality TV stars

Are you the “Snooki” of military wives or the “JWoww” girlfriend of an active-duty service member?
If you live in the San Diego area and bring the same outsized personality — and willingness to broadcast your life to millions — then the star-maker of MTV’s “Jersey Shore” wants to meet you.
“It’s about time we lay witness to the lifestyles of American women whose perspectives are unique due to the circumstances of falling in love with men whose top priority is to serve their country,” says Doron Ofir, casting director for the show-to-be, dubbed “Military Wives of San Diego.” Ofir also recruited the casts of “Jersey Shore,” “Millionaire Matchmaker” and “The A-List.”
“Military Wives” producers say they want to “prove once and for all that behind every man stands a great woman, none more so than the man in service to his country.”
Applicants must be 21. Apply online at www.militarywivescasting.com by answering a questionnaire that probes everything from your sex life to friends and enemies you’d like to see join you on the show.
The show is “backed by a major cable network,” says Stephanie Lewis, Ofir’s assistant.
Cast members will be paid per episode. That salary likely will start low but build with popularity.
“The cast of ‘Jersey Shore’ hardly made anything their first season,” Lewis says, “but now they’re making a ton.”
“Military Wives” had 100 applicants — and the casting website had 6,000 “likes” on Facebook — after the first day.
