Posted : Wednesday Sep 26, 2007 17:28:56 EDT
Entries for the 2007 All-Army Digital Photography Contest will be accepted, starting Monday.
Service members may submit entries to the web-based competition through Nov. 30.
The results of the All-Army Photography Contest were announced recently and the best of show honors went to ... an airman.
“I have placed in the contest before, but never the best in show. That’s everybody’s ultimate dream,” Air National Guard Senior Master Sgt. Munnaf Joarder, of the U.S. Army Garrison-Michigan at Selfridge, said in an Army press release.
Service members, family members and civilians entered close to 1,000 black-and-white and color photographs in the contest sponsored by the Army Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation Command.
The 2006 contest photos were divided into military and civilian competition categories.
First-place winners got $300, runners-up $200, and third-place finishers $100. Their names and entries were posted Monday and can be viewed on line at http://www.armymwr.com/portal/recreation/artsandcrafts/photogallery/.
