Soldier succumbs to illness in Iraq

HONOLULU — The Defense Department reports a soldier from Hawaii has died in Iraq from a non-combat-related illness.
The Pentagon says the death of Sgt. Reno S. Lacerna of Waipahu is under investigation.
The 44-year-old Lacerna died Monday in Al Qayyarah.
He was assigned to the 87th Corps Support Battalion, 3rd Sustainment Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division at Fort Stewart, Ga.
