Motorcycle wreck kills Rucker soldier

OZARK, Ala. — The Army said a 23-year-old soldier stationed at Fort Rucker was killed in a motorcycle accident in Ozark. According to Dale County Coroner Woody Hilboldt, the crash occurred early Monday. Hilboldt said he was called to the scene at about 12:15 a.m.
The Fort Rucker public affairs office said a preliminary report indicated the soldier struck a curb and telephone pole on Logan Road.
The man’s name is being withheld until next of kin is notified. Hilboldt said speed also was a factor in the crash.
Ozark police said the accident is under investigation.
