Man arrested for impersonating guardsman

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — Police have arrested a Marion man they say was impersonating a National Guard member inside of the flood zone in Cedar Rapids.
Brandon Adams was arrested Saturday after an Iowa National Guard soldier saw him dressed in a uniform that did not meet Army specifications. He was near First Avenue and 10th Street Southwest in Cedar Rapids.
Cedar Rapids police say citizens need to be on alert for potential fraud and anyone who seems suspicious.
