FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police say they don’t expect any arrests over the holiday weekend in the killing of a pregnant soldier.
The death of Army Spc. Megan Touma of Cold Spring, Ky., is being treated as a homicide. She was found dead in a bathtub in her hotel room June 21.
Police told The Fayetteville Observer their investigation is continuing.
Touma transferred from the Army Dental Clinic in Bamberg, Germany, and had been assigned to the 19th Replacement Company, a “holding” unit for soldiers at Fort Bragg.
A private family service will be held for Touma. The Kentucky Enquirer reports the family wants memorials for her to be made to the Yellow Ribbon Support Center in Cincinnati.
