Benning-based soldiers to deploy for Iraq

FORT BENNING, Ga. — Another group of Army personnel at Fort Benning are preparing to deploy to Iraq.

Approximately 70 soldiers assigned to the 690th Medical Co. are scheduled to depart Friday from the military post in west Georgia.

The unit has already done two tours in Iraq.

Soldiers will be deployed for about 12 months.
