Soldier found dead in Grafenwoehr barracks

A soldier was found dead at 10 a.m. Friday in the barracks in Grafenwoehr, Germany, after failing to report for morning formation.

The soldier, whose identity is being withheld until next of kin is notified, was assigned to the 18th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 16th Sustainment Brigade. The cause of the soldier’s death is unknown.

Authorities, including the 16th Sustainment Brigade, the Grafenwoehr Military Police and Army Criminal Investigation Command, are investigating the death.
