OFFICER PROMOTION UPDATE: MAY

Colonel

Army Category: Promotions off the 2008 Army Competitive Category lists began in January. They are distributed by the functional groups (Maneuver, Fires and Effects; Operational Support, and Force Sustainment) of the Officer Personnel Management System. The 2009 board convenes July 7.

JAG Corps: May promotions will complete the 2009 list.

Chaplain Corps: Promotions off the 2008 list began in April 2009.

Medical Corps: The 2007 list is being used for promotions.

Dental Corps: The 2007 list is being used for promotions.

Medical Service Corps: Promotions off the 2008 list began in January 2009.

Medical Specialist Corps: January 2009 promotions completed the 2008 list. The 2009 list is pending release and Senate confirmation.

Veterinary Corps: April 2009 promotions completed the 2008 list. The 2009 list is pending release and Senate confirmation.

Nurse Corps: Promotions are being made from the 2008 list.
