LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Vietnam Veterans of America organization is holding its national convention this week in Louisville.
The organization says that more than 650 delegates from chapters across the nation will join hundreds of other Vietnam veterans and guests for the events.
A wreath-laying was held Tuesday. Opening ceremonies are scheduled Wednesday morning, to be followed by delegates debating organizational issues and choosing national officers and board members.
In addition, longtime "Wheel of Fortune" host Pat Sajak will be honored during the convention.
Sajak served as a deejay for the Army in Vietnam in 1969 and 1970 and will receive the Excellence in the Arts Award on Saturday.
