FORT BRAGG, N.C. — Paratroopers will perform a freefall parachute demonstration, and re-enactors will dress in authentic paratrooper uniforms from World War II to celebrate National Airborne Day in North Carolina.

Saturday’s ceremony at the Airborne and Special Operations Museum in downtown Fayetteville will feature the parachute jump, displays from Fort Bragg units and a performance from the 82nd Airborne Division’s All-American Chorus.

Retired Army Gen. Dan McNeill, who last commanded forces in Afghanistan, will speak and lay a wreath of black roses to honor fallen paratroopers.
