Hood soldier killed by bomb in Iraq

A 22-year-old Fort Hood soldier has died in a bombing in Iraq.
The Defense Department identified the victim as 2nd Lt. Joseph D. Fortin of St. Johnsbury, Vt.
DOD says Fortin died Sunday in Muhallah, Iraq, of wounds suffered when his vehicle was targeted.
Fortin was assigned to 1st Battalion, 7th Cavalry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division.
