SOUTH BEND, Ind. — Hunting gear belonging to a U.S. soldier serving in Iraq has been stolen from a South Bend storage unit.
WSBT-TV reports the lock on Army Spc. Brandon Horvath's storage unit was cut either Monday or Tuesday. The soldier's father Joe Horvath says four hunting rifles, a bow and a chain saw were taken.
Joe Horvath says he hasn't spoken with his son since last Sunday and dreads telling him about the theft.
He's offering a $500 reward in the case and the operators of the storage facility are offering a $1,000 reward.
