Posted : Friday Oct 9, 2009 15:01:04 EDT
There will be 710 active component promotions to the ranks of chief warrant officer through colonel in November, about 400 fewer than in October when several new lists were activated for the special branches.
The promotion forecast approved by the Office of the G1 in early October authorizes 49 promotions to colonel in November for all branches and corps, 159 to lieutenant colonel, 365 to major, five to captain, 11 to chief warrant officer five, 42 to chief warrant officer four and 79 to chief warrant officer three.
Within the line branches there will be 19 promotions Nov. 1 to colonel for Maneuver, Fire and Effects officers; 13 for Operations Support, and 13 for Force Sustainment.
All promotions will come from fiscal 2008 lists, leaving 233 names on the MFE roster, 1,412 on the OS and 122 on the FS list.
Basic-branch promotions to lieutenant colonel will total 57 for MFE officers, 27 for OS and 26 for FS, with all the advancements coming from the 2009 lists.
Army Competitive Category promotions to major will total 160 for MFE officers, 89 for OS and 103 for FS.
Promotions to captain for the Medical Specialist Corps are on hold pending the release of new lists, including results of the Army Competitive Category board that meets Dec. 3-16.
