Officer promotion update for November 2009

Army Category

Promotions off the 2008 Army Competitive Category lists began in January. They are distributed by the functional groups (Maneuver, Fires and Effects; Operational Support, and Force Sustainment) of the Officer Personnel Management System. The 2009 board met in July, and the selection lists are pending release.

JAG Corps

May promotions completed the 2008 list. The 2009 board met Aug. 11-13, and the list is pending release and Senate confirmation.

Chaplain Corps

The 2008 list is being used for promotions. The 2009 board met June 2-4. The list was released Sept. 11, and is pending Senate confirmation.

Medical Corps

Promotions are being made from the 2008 list.

Dental Corps

Promotions are being made from the 2008 list.

Medical Service Corps

November promotions will complete the 2008 list. The 2009 board met in July, and the results are pending release and Senate confirmation.

Medical Specialist Corps

January promotions completed the 2008 list. The 2009 board met July 7-14, and the list is pending release and Senate confirmation.

Veterinary Corps

April promotions completed the 2008 list. The 2009 board met July 7-14, and the list is pending release and Senate confirmation.
