BULLHEAD CITY, Ariz. — A temporary museum filled with World War II artifacts as well as dedicated to U.S. veterans is set to open Wednesday near Bullhead City.
Many of the items were once on display at the Ramada Express hotel in Laughlin, Nev.
When the hotel decided to close the museum, it donated the items three years ago to Kevin and Julie Hassett.
But because of the recession, plans were put on hold to build a museum on an acre of land set aside at the Hassett’s funeral home in Mohave Valley.
The American Heroes Museum will include memorabilia donated by Veterans United Inc., which was displayed in its recently closed Arizona Military Heritage Center.
