Army IDs soldier killed in ATV accident

Officials at Fort Hood, Texas, have identified a soldier who died Nov. 14 from injuries suffered in an all-terrain vehicle accident.
Spc. Stephen Ray Brown, 21, of Ottawa, Kan., was on leave when he was injured in the accident in Greeley, Kan.
Brown was a patient administration specialist who joined the Army in August 2007. He was assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, and had been assigned to Fort Hood since October 2007.
He had deployed to Afghanistan from July 2008 to June 2009. His awards include the National Defense Service Medal, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Army Service Ribbon, the Overseas Service Ribbon and the NATO Medal.
