SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah National Guard is postponing the opening a $12 million training center.
The Guard says the North Salt Lake Readiness Center near Salt Lake’s airport won’t be ready for another few weeks. It was supposed to open Wednesday.
The 54,000-square-foot center will house the headquarters of the 142nd Military Intelligence Battalion. It also will accommodate the 118th Sapper (Engineer) Company and the 85th Civil Support Team.
Salt Lake City-based Jacobsen Construction started construction 18 months ago.
