Board to mull college for special branches

Qualified colonels and lieutenant colonels of the Army Medical Department branches, the Judge Advocate General's Corps and the Chaplain Corps will be considered for senior service college attendance by a board that meets March 30-April 9.
Officers selected by the board will attend a resident senior service college or SSC-level fellowship program in 2011-12, or the 2011-13 Army War College Distance Education Program.
The primary zone for the annual special branches SSC board will include:
Nurse Corps, Medical Service Corps and Medical Specialist Corps colonels and lieutenant colonels who will have at least 16 years (192 months) of active federal commissioned service on Sept. 30, 2011.
Medical Corps, Dental Corps and Veterinary Corps O-6s and O-5s with at least 12 years (144 months) of active federal commissioned service on Sept. 30, 2011.
Chaplain Corps lieutenant colonels with O-5 dates of rank of July 1, 2009, and earlier, and all Active Duty List colonels.
JAG Corps lieutenant colonels with O-5 dates of rank of July 1, 2008, and earlier, and colonels with O-6 dates of rank of Feb. 17, 2004, or later.
JAG Corps lieutenant colonels who have been passed over for promotion to colonel are ineligible for consideration unless they are granted a waiver by the Office of the Judge Advocate General.
Officer evaluation reports submitted for this board must be received at Human Resources Command by March 19. Code 9 complete-the-record reports are authorized for this board.
The required “thru date” for Code 9 reports is Dec. 19, 2009.
