Soldier pleads not guilty to child porn charges

FAIRBANKS, Alaska — A Fort Wainright soldier pleaded not guilty to two counts of distributing child pornography at his arraignment Friday.
Joseph Edward Brannock was charged by federal prosecutors with knowingly seeking out and disseminating pornography across state and national lines.
The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner reports the 22-year-old Fairbanks man is in the process of being discharged from the Army.
Brannock is being held at the Fairbanks Correctional Center. He has a detention hearing Aug. 5.
