O-6 selection lists to be released Oct. 19

Selection lists containing the names of certain Regular Army, National Guard and Army Reserve officers recommended for promotion to colonel will be released Oct. 19.

Included in the release will be:

• Results of the Maneuver, Fires and Effects Army Competitive Category colonel board that met June 8-25 in Alexandria, Va.

The zones of consideration for this annual board included Regular Army lieutenant colonels of the basic branches and functional areas.

• Results of the Reserve Components Army Medical Department colonel board that met June 2-9.

The zones of consideration included Active Guard and Reserve (Army Reserve) and non-AGR Army Reserve lieutenant colonels of the Medical Corps, Dental Corps, Medical Service Corps, Medical Specialist Corps, Veterinary Corps and Nurse Corps.

Nomination lists containing the names of the selected officers must be confirmed by the Senate before the Army can schedule promotions.
