Brigadier general nominations released

President Obama has nominated 43 colonels of the basic branches for active-duty promotion to brigadier general.

The officers were recommended for advancement by the Army Competitive Category board that met at Fort Knox, Ky., in November.

A statistical profile by Army personnel officials shows that the selectees on average are 48 years old, with the youngest being 45 and the oldest nearly 53.

The officers are members of year groups 1982-88, with the predominant cohort being 1986.

The selectees on average have spent 4 ½ years in grade as colonels.

Here are the names, assignments, branches and functional areas of the officers nominated for promotion:
