Wainwright soldier faces child porn charges

FAIRBANKS, Alaska — A 27-year-old Fort Wainwright soldier has been arrested in a child pornography case.
Whitney Cole is charged with 13 counts of possession and distribution of child pornography.
Cole was arrested Friday, a year after state investigators seized five computers and three hard drives from home at the post, according to the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner.
Alaska state troopers say investigators later downloaded 346 images of child porn from the computers and hard drives.
Cole is being held at Fairbanks Correctional Center on $50,000 bail.
