PHILADELPHIA — A Philadelphia man is awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty in federal court to bribery and conspiracy to win contracts with the military for Iraq operations.

Justin Lee entered the plea to conspiracy to commit bribery and four counts of bribery on Friday in U.S. Eastern District Court.

Lee’s lawyer acknowledges the government had a strong case, but says another side of the story will come out at sentencing.

Prosecutors say the 33-year-old gave about $1.2 million worth of spa visits, cash, plane tickets and other valuables to officials in return for preferential treatment.

Federal authorities say four military contracting officials have pleaded guilty. Lee’s father George H. Lee Jr. is still at large. The elder Lee is former chairman of Lee Dynamics International, while Justin Lee was company president.
