Eligibility expanded for psyops transfers

Eligibility criteria for the fiscal 2012 special operations officer accessions board has been expanded for applicants seeking transfer to the psychological operations branch.

The annual special operations board, scheduled for April 16-20, is the single accession vehicle for active-component lieutenants requesting branch qualification training for appointments to Special Forces, civil affairs and psychological operations.

Under a change announced Jan. 24, the zone of consideration for psychological operations applicants has been expanded to include members of year groups 2007 and 2008, in addition to 2009.

Special Forces and civil affairs branches only are accepting applications from lieutenants in year group 2009, as previously announced.
