Wife, accomplice charged in Campbell GI’s death

The victim’s wife is one of two people charged with murder in the shooting death of Vincent Goslyn, a soldier at Fort Campbell.

Jessie Lucille Goslyn, 25, of Fort Campbell was arrested by Christian County Sheriff’s Department investigators and charged with the murder of her husband, according to a news release from Capt. Chris Miller, the department’s public information officer.

She was booked into the Christian County Jail in Hopkinsville, Ky., at 1:30 a.m. Sunday and is being held without bond.

Her alleged accomplice, Jarred Tabor Long, 24, of Grand Junction, Colo., also has been arrested and charged with murder.

According to Miller, the arrest of Long was the result of a coordinated effort between Christian County and the Colorado Fugitive Apprehension Team in Mesa, Colo. Long was arrested by Colorado authorities on a murder warrant emanating from Christian County.

Both arrests, the release said, followed an interview of Jessie Goslyn by sheriff’s investigators and the Criminal Investigations Division on Fort Campbell. It was Jessie Goslyn, authorities said, who placed the emergency call that directed them to the scene.

During the interview, Miller said, authorities “determined her involvement with another suspect in the murder of her husband.”

Vincent Goslyn, 28, was found at about 8 p.m. Friday along an isolated stretch of Fidelio Road in southern Christian County, about nine miles north of Clarksville’s Outlaw Field airport between Hopkinsville and the Tennessee state line.

Investigators said he had been shot multiple times with a handgun. He was pronounced dead by Christian County Coroner Doris Lamb, according to Miller’s release.
