Military snipers needed for North American championship
Thirty of the best sniper teams from the military and law enforcement communities will gather in Meridian, Miss., in March for the North American Sniper Championship.
If you want to be on the firing line for the event, set for March 12-15, act fast — registration forms are due Feb. 19.
Sponsored by the Mississippi Tactical Officers Association, the annual competition will be held this year at the Meridian Public Safety Training Facility. It is open to all full-time police and military members who have primary or additional duties as a sniper/observer.
Each competitor must furnish all equipment and ammunition needed for the competition — a minimum of 250 rounds of rifle ammunition (all match grade factory ammo — no hand-loads allowed) and safety gear.
Merchandise and cash prizes will be awarded to top teams and individuals.
The entry fee for each two-man team is $350. Each additional team from the same agency will get a $50 discount. For more information, go online to www.mtoa.us, or contact:
